Harvest Time!

Growing up in Michigan, the fall season was my favorite season of the year.  The weather was normally great! The leaves falling, visiting the apple orchards, apple cider, raking the leaves (ok ok… I cannot pretend to make you think I had to rake leaves…LOL!) As a child, this season showed me one thing, CHRISTMAS was on the way.  But having grown up, I realize that the fall season symbolizes more.  The fall season marks a time of Harvest! A Harvest represents the end of a GROWING season (I know some people who have been sowing all year, are already felt something leap in their spirits!) It is during this time that farmers and their workers began to gather in their crops.

As I am writing this, I hear God’s voice say that this is October 2010, (10/10), and in the body of Christ the number of 10 represents divine completion.  And so many of you have been working hard, planting, and sowing! And you are getting a little weary in your well doing! But God is completing some things in your life as a result of your actions, and you are stepping into your SEASON OF HARVEST!

Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up!

I was on the verge of giving up! I am not ashamed to admit it.  For those of you who are new to Friday Meditations, I always want to be transparent! Because it is through my transparency that I believe God is going to change someone’s life.  But this month, I was on the verge of giving up.  TIRED! Sometimes we can get to the point in our lives, when we are looking around and wondering what “good” is coming from my sowing and planting! It still looks like dirt! Just as I was ready to throw in the towel, God sent me a Blackberry message.  Let me pause here and say, this is why we have to be obedient to God’s word.  It is so important to follow God’s directions.  When he tells you to do something or say something to a particular person, trust me it’s for a reason! Because it was at the moment I was ready to give up, when a friend of mine sent me a Blackberry message to tell me that my HARVEST time was here.  HE told me that for years I have been sowing into to people lives and planting seeds of encouragement and God wanted me to know that my Harvest time is here!

I believe that this Friday that is what God wants to share with you! Your Harvest time is here! Everything thing that you have been planting and sowing, it is now time for you to REAP! There is no need to get weary, keep doing good! Your Harvest is here!

Let’s Pray,

God we come before your throne on today, asking that you forgive us for wanting to give up.  Lord we ask that you continue to strengthen us for the journey.  God we ask that you forgive us for not moving when you say move, going when you say go, saying what you tell us to say.  Forgive us Lord! We declare that by You, we will have the strength to run and leap! We decree that we operate according to your divine calendar.  And that our time and seasons are in your hands! God we thank you for loving us, trusting us, and guiding us each and every day.  Lord we will forever give your name the praise and the glory.  In Jesus name… AMEN!

P.S.- Thanks Armond for staying connected and listening to God! May he give you strength for the work He has in store for your life!

 Harvest Time,

  1. My son, Eric Shoemaker, is in prison and would like to write to you and receive some of your books. Do you have an address where he can write to you as he has no access to a web site.
